Anders Krisár

Anders Krisár:
The work of Stockholm based artist Anders Krisár often deals with the human body. It is discomfiting, presenting objects of simultaneous horror and beauty. Krisár takes realistic casts of human body parts, torso, arms or faces to modify hem in ways that lend them a surreal quality. His aim is to explore interpersonal relationships and examine the complexities of the human condition.

Alexander Lysov

Alexander Lysov:

Alexander Lysov has created along last year some interesting blinking light installations. The one in the first video into the post happened at ARTPLAY, ICA Moscow in the exhibition 'On the fresh air', the installation is an experiment with minimal interruption in the exhibition space. A hidden controller added in the lighting system which generates failures and disturbances in the electrical network. Work becomes visible only in moments of failure, other times it does not actually exist in the space of the exhibition.
This installation continues the Alexander Lysov's research into accidents, randomness and errors. See more;

Korean artist Jeongmoon Choi uses light and thread to create amazing installations that play with aspects of perspective and illusion. Reminiscent of something produced at a laser light show, her fields of three-dimensional lines are installed in place and lit with ultraviolet light to create interactive environments. Choi currently has a solo show at Gallerie Laurent Mueller in Paris through January 26th. You can see much more of her work via her website and on Facebook. (via my modern met)
